Yeahhhhhh! Seems like all I do on this blog is One Piece review...Who cares?  One Piece is awesome man! I'm thinking about making video reviews also along with these written out reviews but ya we'll see. Anywho, let's get to it! Last episode the Sun Pirates split up, some going off with Arlong to reform the Arlong Pirates. Let's see what happens afterwards with the former slaves and Jimbei, the new shichibukai.

If you haven't seen this episode yet just head over to watchop.com the best place to watch all your favorite One Piece episodes.

The Slaves Return Home

It's a great day as the Sun Pirates led by Jimbei finally make their way back to the Fishman Island. All the former slaves of the world's nobles are happy to finally be back home with their family and friends. They all thank Jimbei for his sacrifice of becoming a shichibukai just to obtain amnesty and be able to return the slaves without being pursued by the government. It's a momentous occasion indeed as wives are reunited with their husbands and children with their fathers.

A dark mood is set by Alladin's final words before getting off the ship: "our hatred towards humans will never go away". And this is an unfortunate truth. All of the crew might have learned to accept humans due to their relationship with Koala and their late captain's final words but just like Tiger, they themselves will never be able to forgive them for the horrible things they did. This will play out later in the episode.

On top of that, it is revealed that many a fish man is not to pleased about Jimbei's decision of becoming a warlord considering him to have lowered himself to being a tool of the World Government and humans alike. The king and especially the queen on the other hand are ecstatic to finally have some sort of relationship with the World Government. She considers it one foot in the door of a better relationship with humans.

The Celestial Dragon Arrives

One day, a rundown ship makes its way to the gates of the Fishman Island. By looking at the symbol barely hanging on to the masts they realize that it's the ship of a celestial dragon. Queen Otohime gives the order to open the gate and receive them with a rescue team.

Oda does a great job of making the celestial dragons the most despicable characters of any kind and this occasion is no different. Even on the brink of death, covered in scars and blood, the celestial dragon has no decency to properly beg for help but instead has a gun out and starts shooting at the innocent bystanders whom he disrespectfully refers to as "fishes" and orders them to bring him a doctor as if they were all born to do his bidding. This type of character just makes my blood boil and the fish men agree as they just stand there and refuse to give him help. Even if there were say one noble fishman who wanted to help, who the hell is gonna get close to a psycho that has absolutely no respect for your existence with a gun in his hand. Ya...not many.

Things get interesting though as a large group of fish men make their way through the crowd and approach the battered down noble. They address him as Myosgard saying that it has been a while since they have seen him. The noble immediately recalls that the fish men standing before him were once his former slaves. Myosgard declares that the reason he had come to the Fish Man island was to bring them back with him because he had never given them permission to leave. Can you believe the nerve of...ugh! He draws his weapon to the fish men but they easily kick the gun out of his hand then turn the tables pointing their guns to him. The former slaves are set on killing the celestial dragon to cause him the same pain that he bestowed on them. The bystanders see this and the crowd gets riled up egging the fish men on. The rescue team stays out of the way also as Hordy, the team leader, declares that he deserves to die. Tensions run high...the people are screaming...the fish men full of hatred hold their guns toward Myosgard...in an instant-BANG!

Everyone is stunned. In front of the fish men is not a dead celestial dragon but instead a wounded Queen Otohime shielding the scumbag. At the very last minute, the queen swooped in using her haki and protected the noble but not without completely avoiding the bullet as she was scraped on her arm. Otohime told the fishmen to lower their weapons. She understood the pain that had been inflicted by the human in front of them but she asked them to hold back their urges for the sake of the children watching. The children couldn't see them acting violently towards humans. They need to interact with them themselves and decide how to act towards them without the negative influence of other fish men. At the request of the queen, the former slaves lowered their weapons that were once pointed at their former oppressor.

Just as everyone lowers their guard the lowlife of a celestial dragon lunges for his gun and grabs the queen taking her hostage. He demands a doctor and a breathing mask while insulting the queen saying that the queen of a fish country is to him but another commoner. Then the weirdest most unexpected thing happened. Seeing her mother in peril, Shirahoshi let out a loud cry (believe me it was loud.) and all of a sudden a group of sea kings emerge from the water destroying the ship that the celestial dragon drifted in on. Everyone stares in awe and fear at the gigantic beasts (ya, they're scary). The celestial dragon is consumed by shock and faints letting the queen free but now every one's attention is on Shirahoshi. They know the appearance of the sea kings was no coincidence. A young Vander Decken then explains a legend of a mermaid with the mysterious power to control the sea kings and it turns out that his family has been looking for this mystical mermaid ever since the first Vander Decken. It's at this moment that he becomes set on marrying Shirahoshi in order to obtain this power. Only problem is she is still only a child at this time (I know right, what a pervert). After all the commotion, Alladin approaches the celestial dragon who is still knocked out and regretfully accepts to treat him.

The Queen's Decision

A few weeks later, after the celestial dragon was completely healed the fish men provide him with a ship and crew to get back home. Instead of saying thank you and realizing his mistakes this ungrateful son of a *#*%& says that he will get revenge for the way that they harassed and insulted on the island. As if this guy couldn't get any more despicable. Otohime speaks out to his threats and says that she will accompany him tot he surface to work this matter out. King Neptune immediately turns down the idea of having her wife go the surface but she tells him to trust her. She says that she needs to do this in order to show everyone that it's ok to go to the surface, even for a fragile women such as herself. And with that she boards the ship with the celestial dragon, waves goodbye to her people and family and heads off to a new world to make a statement for the future.

My Thoughts: Man, this episode was great. I was a bit doubtful at the thought of seeing anything exciting after the death of Tiger and split of the Sun Pirates but good thing I was wrong. We got insight to a very interesting situation that occurred on the Fishman Island and some important secrets were revealed such as Shirahoshi's mysterious power. I really hope this will come into play in the present time as the Strawhats fight against Hordy and Vander Decken. And if I ever see another celestial dragon again it will be too soon. Those folks are just complete ass$*#)% in every aspect of the word. That scene where Otohime protected the celestial dragon was very moving and it's incredible to think that in the face of such calamity to kill the human she stepped forward and protected him in spite of all of the horrible things that he had done. It really shows the kind of person she is and why she carries that queen to her name. We definitely need more people like Otohime in this world, not ones that just think that something is wrong and a change should be done but ones that actually go out and try to make that change themselves.

Will the queen make it back in one piece (see what I did there)? Will she be turned into a slave? Will Arlong show up again? Will we get back to the present timeline? We'll have to wait to next week to find out.
